About the College

Krishnaguru Mahavidyalaya, a constituent unit of Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya, was established by His Holiness Krishnaguru Ishwar in the year 1992. The idea behind the establishment of the Mahavidyalaya was to impart spiritual knowledge along with regular curriculum. Spiritual knowledge makes a man self-restrained and sustains longevity. From the early nineties (90s’) the Krishnaguru Mahavidyalaya has dedicated entirely in delivering quality education along with the blend of spiritual knowledge. Over the years, the students have performed outstanding results in the HS examination conducted by the AHSEC. The students from all over Assam enroll here for study. The prevailing spiritual, peaceful and lash-green environment here is very conducive and suitable for pursuing knowledge.

Academic Achievements

Krishnaguru Mahavidyalaya has been producing an excellent and outstanding result in H.S. Final Examinations since 1994. Most of the students secured letter marks in subjects. And a few were able to secure top positions in the State level H.S. Examination conducted by AHSEC, Assam. These are the credentials of Krishnaguru Mahavidyalaya: Miss Joonmani Phukan: Secured 5th position in H.S. Final Examination, 2008 Miss Dibyajyoti Das: Secured 4th position in H.S. Final Examination, 2009 Miss Urvashi Chetia: Secured 3rd position in H.S. Final Examination, 2011 Miss Alaka Das: Secured 1st position in H.S. Final Examination, 2017

Krishnaguru Mahavidyalaya is a constituent unit of Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya that imparts formal education alongside Spiritual knowledge. This has been the guiding principle of our institution. Following the noble sayings of Krishnaguru Ishwar, the faculty and students here aim to make education relevant today. The purpose of education is to gain specialised knowledge on different competitive fields but also to inculcate values that encourage compassion. We here believe that spiritualism and seeing everyone as equal help to overcome artificial barriers and initiate the ultimate world peace. KGM – Admission

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR H.S. COURSES

  • As the objective of the institution is quality education, merit is the only criterion for admission.
  • Application can be obtained from the office or from our website www.kav.org.in on payment of ₹ 200/- only.
  • When a student is admitted in the midsession, he/she must pay the admission and all the fees for the full session.
  • Students transfer from other institutions, seeking admission into H.S. Second year classes will have to produce necessary permission from the council. Their admission is subject to the availability of seats in the institution.
  • The institute reserve the right to accept or reject any application for admission without assigning any reason.
Candidates must submit the following attested photocopies & documents along with the application form :
  • Mark-sheet of the last examination passed.
  • Admit card of HSLC examination.
  • Four passport size recent photograph.
  • Pass certificate of the HSLC examination issued by the Board.
  • Caste certificate of SC/ST/OBC if available.
  • Original testimonials must be produced at the time of admission.

Hostel Fess for Arts and Commerce students

HOSTEL DRESS

  • The colour of Hostel Dresses must not be Red or Black.
  • They have to wear very simple but smart looking dresses.

HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Students should read the rules and regulations before signing the application form (A copy of rules is attached with the application form).
  • Smoking, Alcohol & Narcotic consumption is strictly prohibited in and around the Hostel premises. Strict action will be taken against offenders.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited. Offenders will be severely punished as per law and will be expelled from the Hostel/Institute.
  • Cell phones and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited in Hostel.
  • Strict adherence to the prescribed dress code is required. Decency in dressing & demeanor is a must.
  • Loitering in the Hostel campus during the class hours will not be appreciated.
  • The Management & Staff will not be responsible for personal belongings.
  • Late comers will be penalized.
  • Students must keep the Campus & Rooms clean. Defacing walls, equipment, furniture etc., is strictly prohibited.
  • Birthday/Other Celebrations are strictly prohibited in Hostel.
  • Students must turn off all the electrical equipments & lights before leaving their rooms.
  • Students are not allowed to use electric stoves, heaters etc. in rooms except in designated places.
  • Students are not allowed to organize any group activities in their room.
  • Food will be served only in the designated Dining Hall(s) and only during the specified timings. Wasting food & water will not be encouraged.
  • Visitors are allowed only in AV Room. Visitors are not allowed beyond the visiting area. No outside Guest\Students will be allowed inside the hostel.
  • Any complaints regarding electric equipment, plumbing etc., is required to be entered in the ‘Complaints Box’.
  • Students should not enter rooms of other students without permission.
  • Silence: Strict silence shall be observed in hostel from 11.00 pm to 5.30 am. Care should be taken at all times to ensure the silence.
  • Any manner of festivities and noise making celebrations, which may cause disturbance to other inmates in the hostel premises will not be entertained.
  • Students during their stay in the hostel will be governed by the management rules.

Non-compliance with the hostel rules will be dealt with strictly.

As one of the constituent colleges of the Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya, the college provides opportunities for students to excel in different types of outdoor and indoor games and sports. The University has volleyball, football & cricket grounds with playing facilities. Indoor games like carom, chess any such games are also available within the campus.

Apart from these, here the students’ day begins at 4:30 am starting with prayer, meditation followed by regular studies and other sports as well as cultural activities, the day ending once again with prayer and meditation.
